Ms
!!Yelton has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1989 and has been certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Residential Real Estate Law since 1997. Becoming board certified takes time and special effort.

Why should you choose an attorney who is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization?
Because it assures you that your attorney is specially competent and experienced in his or her area of certification. To become certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Residential Real Estate Law, an attorney must be a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas, demonstrate substantial involvement in his or her area of certification and must have:

  • been practicing law on a full time basis for at least five years
  • for the preceding three years, devoted a minimum of 25% of her or his overall time practicing Texas real estate law;
  • passed an examination in the area of certification; and
  • provide favorable references from five Texas attorneys who practice in the attorney’s geographic area.
